Success in American academia requires hard work and proper social skills. Due to different cultural backgrounds and ways of communications, it could be difficult for people from a different culture in terms of communicating effectively with their peers. In this workshop, the panel will address topics such as life in the US, American cultures and etiquettes, immersing in the local communities, English language proficiency and social appropriateness.
